Zero Gravity Beds Belfast NI and Dublin Ireland

The zero gravity sleep position is one of the biggest trends in modern bedroom comfort, offering a weightless, deeply supported feeling that helps many people sleep more easily and wake more refreshed. At Dalzells, customers from Belfast, Newry, Dublin and beyond are increasingly asking about zero gravity beds, and for good reason. The position naturally relieves pressure, improves circulation and provides exceptional comfort whether you’re resting, reading or sleeping.

What Is a Zero Gravity Bed?

A zero gravity bed is an adjustable electric bed that raises both your upper body and legs to create a neutral, weightless posture. This mimics the natural body alignment achieved by astronauts during take-off similar to a position that minimises pressure on the spine, hips and joints.

The bed creates a gentle, supportive angle of around 120°–130° between the torso and knee area, helping your body relax fully without strain.

Zero Gravity vs Standard Adjustable Beds

Standard adjustable beds raise the upper body only, helping with reading, reflux or snoring. Zero gravity beds, however, offer a more advanced movement pattern that lifts the legs and torso simultaneously for full-body pressure relief.

Some adjustable beds offer single movement; profiling beds offer multi-zone adjustment. Zero gravity technology adds an ergonomically balanced preset that optimises comfort automatically.

MiBed High Low Adjustable Bed Frame

The MiBed High Low Adjustable Bed Frame offers five part profiling to support the head, back and legs, creating a stable and comfortable position while helping prevent sliding. It uses four motors to control both the profiling action and the lift function, with a generous maximum lift of 350 millimetres. A motorised slat system adapts to pressure for improved back support, even weight distribution and better airflow to keep the mattress fresher.

The high low mechanism allows the user to change position without manual effort, supporting independence and reducing strain on carers. The entire frame can be raised or lowered, making it easier to find the right height for getting in and out of bed safely and comfortably.
