When it comes to getting a great night’s sleep, one size definitely doesn’t fit all. Whether you’re a side sleeper, back sleeper, or a bit of both, choosing the right King Koil mattress can make all the difference in how you rest, recover, and recharge.
At Dalzell’s of Markethill, we’re proud to stock a wide range of Irish-made King Koil beds and mattresses, handcrafted in Kilcullen, Co. Kildare, and designed to meet a wide variety of sleep styles and comfort preferences.
Below, we’ll help you match your sleeping style to the ideal King Koil mattress and explain what to look for in spring systems, comfort layers, and support features.
Best King Koil Mattress for Side Sleepers
Side sleepers often need a mattress that gently cushions the shoulders and hips while supporting the natural curve of the spine. Look for a model with a pocket spring system and plush comfort layers, such as memory foam or natural latex.
Top King Koil Picks for Side Sleepers:
The King Koil Support Supreme 2000 Mattress is part of the King Koil Collection of Beds and Mattresses. Approved by the International Chiropractors Association this Luxury 2000 Pocket Sprung Mattress provides Enhanced Spinal Care and unrivalled Posture Support. Featuring Tri-ChiroTM System for Targeted Back Support, this mattress incorporates Tuff EdgeTM Supports to retain the mattress shape.
Best King Koil Mattress for Back Sleepers
Back sleepers need a mattress that promotes spinal alignment and even weight distribution. A firmer feel with zoned support helps to keep the lower back supported without excessive sinkage.
Top King Koil Picks for Back Sleepers:
The King Koil Spinal Guard Luxury Mattress – the original King Koil bed – was developed with the co-operation of the US International Chiropractors Association. Still a winning bed today, this Mattress provides enhanced spinal care and unrivalled posture support. Combining a High Guage Heat Tempered Open Coil Spring System with Chiro-Span Posturisation™, which targets extra back support in the centre third zone, this luxury mattress benefits from a Perimeter Frame with Flex-edge Border Supports for full surface non-sag sleep comfort.
Why it works: Firmer mattresses with high-quality coil systems help maintain a neutral spine position, reducing the risk of lower back pain.
Best King Koil Mattress for Combination Sleepers
Do you toss and turn or shift between sleeping positions during the night? Combination sleepers need a mattress that adapts to movement while offering both support and responsiveness.
Top King Koil Picks for Combination Sleepers:
The King Koil Comfort Supreme Pillow Top Mattress incorporates a Coil Pocket Spring Unit with a Tri-ChiroTM System for targeted back Support, ChiroSpansTM which runs from Edge to Edge in the Critical Third Zone and Tuff EdgeTM Supports to keep the Mattress Shape.
Why it works: Medium comfort levels and zoned spring systems help combination sleepers enjoy a comfortable and stable night’s sleep without feeling restricted.
